Autumn Preparation
By Mary Lynn Bushong

1     "Sebastian, come here now!" called Mama. "You have been playing all day, running from tree to tree and all over the grass. I need you to come in now and get ready for supper."

2     "But, Mama, I am not hungry. I want to play in the trees some more," said Sebastian.

3     "You may not be hungry now, but you will be in just a little while. You are a young squirrel, and you do too much playing and not any planning," scolded Mama.

4     "Aw, Mama, the air is so crisp, and it is so cool. I can run and jump and not get hot at all. I love this time of year."
