Being Angry
By Erin Horner

1     UGGH! Yesterday was the worst day ever! First, I missed the bus. Then, I forgot my lunch box. After that my soccer team lost, and I missed my favorite TV show because I had to clean my room. I was so angry. I was so mad! I wanted to scream!

2     Have you ever felt that way? Everyone feels angry sometimes. Feeling angry is normal. Feeling angry is okay. Acting on our anger, though, is not. When we feel angry we sometimes feel like our blood is about to boil. Everything inside of us feels hot, like a volcano that is going to explode. When you feel this way it is important to let your anger out, but it is important to do so in a way that won't hurt you or others. Hurting other people or things when you are angry can get you in trouble. Then you will be even angrier!
