1 Figure skating is a Winter Olympic sport. Skaters jump. They spin and twirl. They skate to music. They work hard on the ice. There are four figure skating events in the Olympics. They are men's singles, women's singles, ice dance, and pairs. Ice dance and pairs are performed by a male skater and a female skater who skate together. Skaters in all four events have three things in common. They love the ice. They have practiced hard to become Olympians. They want to win Olympic medals.
