Naughty Nancy, Little Nancy |
1 Nancy and Ned were twins, but they were not a bit alike. Nancy had been naughty since she was a little tyke. Ned was even tempered. He always helped his sister. But when Nancy left a room, nobody ever missed her.
2 Little Ned had dark hair. Nancy's hair was light. Nancy held things in her left hand. Ned held things in his right. Ned looked like his mother. Nancy looked like her dad. Ned acted good all day. Nancy acted bad. Nancy and Ned were opposites. They were as far apart as they could be. There was not a single thing upon which they could agree.
3 One day her parents put a mirror in front of Nancy's face. They said, "Dear little Nancy, your behavior's a disgrace. Take a look at your reflection. Look at the things you say and do. You have some things to work on. This mirror may help you."
