Drug Dangers
By Patti Hutchison

1     You hear it all the time, "Just say no!" Commercials on TV, your parents, and teachers tell you to stay away from drugs. This is good advice. Illegal drugs can harm you in many ways. They can even kill you.

2     Most people think marijuana is harmless. You smoke a little. You get a little buzz, no big deal. Think again. Smoking pot can cause problems with your memory. It can cause you to have difficulty concentrating. This can cause your grades in school to go down. School is hard enough; why make it harder for yourself?

3     Marijuana can also cause you to be depressed. It can make you moody. Smoking pot can be as bad for your body as smoking cigarettes.
