1 Velociraptor (veh LAH sih RAP tor) was a small, carnivorous dinosaur. It was a predator that killed and ate other dinosaurs. It lived in Asia from about 85 to 75 million years ago in the Cretaceous period. It had long, sturdy back legs that could run fast. Its tail was long and stiff and helped it balance.
