1 What is Sudoku? Is it a puzzle? Is it a math game? Sudoku is a number-placement puzzle. Whole books have been published with a Sudoku on each page. Newspapers around the world publish daily Sudokus. Sudoku is a Japanese name. It means single number. The puzzle boards are boxes. Each puzzle begins as one large box. Inside the large box is a three by three grid. Each one of those boxes becomes a three by three grid. When complete, the puzzle has eighty-one boxes to fill. The goal is to fill each box with a single number. The trick is to have each row .....![]() |
