John Kennedy: Presidential TV Star
By Kathleen W. Redman

1     John F. Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States. He was born on May 29, 1917, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was born into a family used to public service. He met many powerful people. He also had a big partner. This partner wasn't family, though. It wasn't even human. His partner was television.

2     Kennedy's grandfather was a member of Congress. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives. Kennedy's father was an ambassador. Kennedy's older brother went into politics. His family expected him to be involved, too.

3     Kennedy graduated from Harvard in 1940. He went into the U.S. Navy about a year later. He served during World War II. He was captain of a boat in the South Pacific.
