Recalled Food
By Cathy Pearl

1     Everyone has seen food recalls on the news. Sometimes it is for food that people eat, like peanut butter. Other times it is for food animals eat, like dog or cat food. In either case, it can be very dangerous to eat a food that has been recalled.

2     Recalls are usually announced on the news and in the newspaper. Recalled food is not safe to eat. The company has decided to recall the food so no one else eats it. This prevents anyone else from getting sick.

3     The first thing to do is decide if you have the food in your house. The article will tell you what brand of food is being recalled. There may also be a phone number to call if you have any questions.
