I Can't Find What I Want
By Cathy Pearl

1     After finishing your grocery shopping, you look down at your list. Even though you have been through the whole store, there were a couple things that you didn't see. Now what do you do?

2     There are a couple of things that you can do if you can't find something in your favorite store. Is it a common item like soup or crackers? You can probably find this type of item by yourself.

3     Most aisles in a grocery store are labeled. These labels could be over the aisles. They could also be at the end of the aisle. The labels give examples of what can be found in each aisle.

4     Look at the labels to figure out where your item might be. It might not say exactly on the sign, but you should be able to figure it out. Condiment is a word that is used for things like ketchup and mustard. Crackers and cookies are often found together. If you have shopped the store often, you can usually find what you are looking for.

5     But even after looking at the signs, you may not be able to find what you want. Now what do you do? You can always ask a person who works in the store. She should be able to direct you to where the item is. You may discover you were in the right aisle and just didn't see the item on the shelf.
