Using a Toaster
By Cathy Pearl

1     The toaster was a great invention. There is nothing like a warm piece of toast to go with your breakfast in the morning. But if you aren't careful, what you toast can burn. Then you just have to throw it in the garbage.

2     There are many different kinds of toasters out there. It is up to you to figure out which one you will need. Some will only toast two pieces of bread at a time. Others will toast six or more. Some toasters will fit bagels and English muffins. Other toasters are just made for bread.

3     If you eat bagels, you will want a toaster that is made for them. It is very hard to get a bagel into a toaster that is made to fit bread. And if you do get it in the toaster, it will probably get stuck when the toaster tries to pop it out. Then you will have to try to pull the hot bagel out with your hands. By the time you get it out, it will be too cold to eat.
