Paying Your Cable Bill
By Patti Hutchison

1     What's on TV tonight? If you have cable or a satellite dish, there are always plenty of programs to choose from. If you have one of these services, you also have to pay for it. Most likely, you will receive a bill in the mail.

2     It is important to look over this bill before you pay it. First, make sure your name and address are written correctly. You don't want to pay someone else's bill! Also make sure you are being billed for the correct service period. It should say something like "Service from July 25, 2007, to August 25, 2007."

3     Next, make sure you have gotten credit for paying last month's bill. The bill should list your previous balance and the amount you paid for the previous bill. If all this information is correct, it's time to look over the charges.
