Three Kind Mice
By Brenda B. Covert

1     A man had a farm where three kind mice lived. Each day Farmer John left some food for them. They pulled the weeds in his garden to show their thanks.

2     One day the mice saw the farmer going down the road. He was wearing his best suit.

3     "There goes Farmer John. Where do you think he is going, Dad?" little Millie asked.

4     Her father rubbed his ear. "I do not know. Did you see the shine on his shoes? I have never seen them so clean!"
