3.  Ezra Pound, a modernist poet, wrote his long poem "Cantos" in several installments. He began it in 1925 and, according to his biographers, he never finished it. When the unfinished poem was published in 1970, it covered eight hundred pages! If the publisher printed forty-four lines per page and the last page had four lines on it, how many lines of poetry are in the book?


4.  When John's great grandfather immigrated to the United States, he traveled to Wisconsin and bought a small farm and two cows. Now he owns the biggest dairy farm in the region. 5.  Steven and Jordan are best friends. They decided to work together and make a huge poster complimenting their teacher for spending so much time making their classes interesting. They really liked being in his class. They found five pieces of poster board, each twenty-nine inches wide and forty inches long. What is the area of the biggest poster they could make by taping the pieces together? (Note: They can cut the pieces.)


6.  Mandisa has a rectangular garden that measures thirty-three meters long and fifteen meters wide. In square meters, how big is Mandisa's garden?
