The cost will be $5.10 for the pattern, $15.25 for the fabric, $2.98 for the thread, and $8.89 for lace. How much will her mother save if she makes the dress instead of buying it?

2.   Rebecca is weaving her own Easter basket. She has thin strips of wood in pretty colors to use in the basket. Four-ninths of the strips are green and a third are blue. The rest of the strips are pink. If she has eighteen strips, how many are pink?

3.   Mr. Connery's class is decorating eggs for the kindergarten class. There are fifteen children in the class and they want to decorate six eggs for each child. So far they have finished a third of the eggs. How many more do they need to decorate?

4.   Jacob spent thirty-six minutes hiding Easter eggs for his two little sisters. If he started hiding them at 12:58 p.m., what time did he finish hiding the eggs?

5.   The Sugar and Spice Company donated eight hundred forty jelly eggs to the thirty-five fourth grade students at our school. If the eggs were divided evenly, how many jelly eggs did each student get?

6.   Last year it was fifty-seven degrees Fahrenheit when we went outside to look for Easter eggs. I wore a sweater. This year the weatherman says it will be colder, only forty-four degrees Fahrenheit. How much colder will it be this year than last year?
