2.   Idaho has about 50 mountain peaks that rise above 10,000 feet. Borah Peak, the state's highest mountain, stands at 12,662 feet. The great Bitterroot Range, among Idaho's most rugged mountains, lies on the Idaho-Montana border. Here, Portland Mountain rises up 10,820 feet. The Seven Devils Mountains are on the Oregon border with He Devil Peak at 9,893 feet above sea level. What is the average elevation of these three well known locations in Idaho?

4.   Bologna can be purchased by the pound or it can be bought in packages, already sliced. A 12-ounce package of sliced bologna is $3.67 at Millie's Market. An uncut piece of bologna that weighs twelve ounces will cost $1.83. If Kevin buys six pounds of bologna, how much will he save by purchasing uncut bologna?


5.   Mr. Williams has book covers for his students. There are red, blue, green, purple, and yellow covers and the students will get to choose their own colors. Nine of the students want red book covers. There are twenty-six red book covers. If Mr. Williams gives each of the nine students an equal number of red covers, how many red book covers will each of the nine students get?


6.   Our teacher told us a story about three families who were having a feud. The dispute was over which family owned the four wild hound dogs that wandered in the woods. Half of the Marks family said the dogs belonged to the Smiths family. One-fourth of the Marks family said the dogs belonged to the Jacks family. The rest of the Marks family said, "What dogs?" There are 36 people in the Marks family. How many of them said "What dogs"?
