1.   There are eight pieces of pizza. Justin ate five-eighths of the pizza for dinner. He ate one-fourth of the pizza for a bedtime snack. How much of the pizza has he eaten in all?

2.   Makayla ate seven-twelfths of her orange before lunch and a third of her orange after lunch. How much of her orange did she eat in all?

3.   There was three-fourths of a gallon of plain milk in the refrigerator. There was also one-eighth of a gallon of chocolate milk. How much more plain milk was there than chocolate milk?

4.   There are six pieces of pizza. Matthew ate a third of the pizza for dinner. He ate a third of the pizza for a bedtime snack. How much of the pizza is left?

9.   Brianna made five-sixths of a pound of candy. Of the candy Brianna made, a third of a pound was fudge. How much of the candy was not fudge?

10.   On Friday Anthony ate a third of a pound of cherries. On Saturday he ate two-thirds of a pound of cherries. What was the total weight of the cherries Anthony ate?

11.   There were eleven bananas on the counter. Two-elevenths of the bananas were eaten yesterday. One-eleventh of the bananas were eaten today. What fraction of the bananas have been eaten in all?

12.   Katherine put ten-elevenths of a cup of peanut butter chips and five-elevenths of a cup of chocolate chips in a bowl. How many cups of chips did she have in all?
