1.   We blended some ingredients to make a recipe that would yield three servings of cookies. We included two-ninths of a cup of sugar and one and a half cups of flour. How much more flour did we include than sugar?

2.   Benjamin likes to swim 3 times a week. He swam seven and a half laps the first day, nine and a third laps the second day and six and a third laps the last day. How many laps did Benjamin swim last week?

4.   Brianna takes visitors on tour of the museum on Saturdays. Each tour is five-sixths of an hour long. She does three tours a day. How much time does Brianna spend doing tours each day?

5.   Luis works at Mountain Springs Dairy Bar. He makes milkshakes and ice cream cones. One day he made 12 milkshakes. A third of the milkshakes he made were chocolate. How many chocolate milkshakes did he make?

6.   All of the students in Ms. Lewis' class made cards. Some of the cards were made from white paper and some of the cards were made from black paper. If there are twenty students in the kindergarten class and half of them made their cards from white paper, how many students used black paper for their cards?

7.   Fall is Savannah's favorite season. She and her sister have made a scrapbook. In it are some of their favorite leaves. Some are red, some are orange, some are yellow, and some are green. They have fifty-two leaves in it so far. Half of the leaves are green. How many of their leaves are not green?

8.   Connor decided to throw a party. Connor bought a very large pizza and cut it into eighteen pieces. At the party, Mackenzie ate two-ninths of the pizza, Jessica ate a third of it, and Connor ate what was left. How many pieces of pizza did Connor eat?
