He measured the volume of 10 twigs and found the average volume was 3.5 ml. Before he completed the calculations, he discarded one measurement because he thought the twig was the wrong species. After discarding the twig he obtained, a new average volume of 2.7 ml. What must have been the volume of the twig he discarded?

3.   Kayla collected data on earthworm crawl speed. She measured the rate of travel of the same worm 20 times. The range of speeds was 14 cm per minute. If the lowest speed was 1.8 cm per minute what was the highest speed she measured?

4.   Mr. Bloop live-trapped mice near his barn for several nights in a row. They were eating the chicken feed stored there. On 4 consecutive nights, he trapped 11, 12, 10, and 6 mice. What was the average number of mice caught per night? Round your answer to the nearest whole number.
