 1 Ethan and his friend are going to climb the hill behind the school on Saturday. They said there are some old railway buildings at the top. It took them forty minutes to climb the hill. The trail up the hill is 0.5 km. At that rate, how long would it take them to climb two kilometers?
 2 Our property has five sides. They are seventy-two meters, one hundred ten meters, one hundred seventeen meters, eighty-five meters and one hundred thirteen meters. What is the perimeter of our property?
 3 If one feather weighs seven hundred milligrams, how much will thirty-seven identical feathers weigh if they are placed in a basket that weighs forty-nine grams? Specify your answer in grams. (Be careful with this problem. Make sure you know what it is asking!)
 4 Matthew kept track of his weight on a calendar. On April 1 he weighed forty-six kilograms. On May 1 he weighed nine hundred grams more. By June 1 he had gained another two kilograms. How much was his weight, in kilograms, on the first of June?
 5 Eric wants to fill up his car's gas tank. The tank holds 21 liters and is currently a third empty. How many liters of gas will it take to fill the tank?
 6 The boundary between our farm and the farm to the north is 4.3 km. The boundary between our farm and the farm to the south is two hundred thirty-three meters. How much longer, in kilometers, is the boundary with the farm to the north than the boundary with the farm to the south?
