Who is this president?   

____ was born in Yorba Linda, a farming village in California, on January 9, 1913. At 17, ____ entered Whittier College, a Quaker institution where, in his first year, he was elected president of his class. ____'s ambition was to become a lawyer, but his brother's long illness had exhausted the family's savings. However, ____ earned a scholarship to Duke University where he graduated third in his class in 1937. Five months later, ____ was admitted to the California Bar and he joined the law firm of Wingert and Bewley. On June 21, 1940, two years after their first meeting, ____ and Pat Ryan were married. A few weeks after the United States entered World War II, ____ went to Washington, D.C. ____ then became the thirty-seventh president of the United States in 1969.

This president once said, "A man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits."

This man was the only president to resign from office.

Upon the Secretary of State receiving this president's resignation, Gerald Ford was sworn in as president twenty-eight minutes later.

Before Super Bowl VI, this president called Miami Dolphins coach, Don Shula, to recommend a play, but the play didn't work.

This president once said "I am an introvert in an extrovert profession."
