Jake and Jackie Learn to Understand Others, Part 3
By Beth Beutler

Jackie watched as Jake scampered across the yard to his home next door. She commented to Aunt Bethany, "I know Jake's mother is probably pretty easy-going about dinner time. Mom, on the other hand, is pretty scheduled. You know you can't be late to dinner here!"

Aunt Bethany and Jackie laughed. "You are right about that," Aunt Bethany added. "Your mom demonstrates the 'C' personality for sure. In fact, look at what time it is. Dinner is in one hour, and I bet she'll be in the kitchen any minute to get it ready."

Just then, Jackie's mom strolled into the kitchen and greeted the giggling aunt and niece. "What's so funny?"

Aunt Bethany spoke up. "I've been teaching the kids about personality types. We think you are a 'C' personality, and Jake's mom may be an 'S'."

Jackie's mom answered. "I think I can go along with that. Jake's mom is very easy going." She turned her head to see Jake knock at the door. "Come in, Jake," she called.

     "Dinner over already?" Jackie asked.

Jake smacked his lips. "I forgot that mom was working late tonight. I just had a snack."

"You are welcome to eat with us," Jackie's mom said as she put out a plate of hamburgers.

"Sure. I can always fit more!"
