Happy Turkey Day
By Brenda B. Covert

1     "Happy Turkey Day!" I love to say that! Yes, it is Thanksgiving Day. It seems like a turkey day to me. Turkeys are everywhere!

2     It is fun to draw a turkey with my hand. My thumb is the head. My fingers are the tail feathers. My palm is the body. I draw two sticks at the bottom. They are legs. I color the tail red, orange, yellow, and brown.

3     Last year Mom cooked a turkey. First, she rubbed butter on the bare bird. I am glad that was not my job! The turkey looked cold. It had goose bumps!
