The Day I Touched a Lobster!

1     Last summer, my family and I went to Maine on vacation. Everybody talked about eating lobster because lobsters are caught in the sea near Maine. We went to a restaurant that was right on the beach. Instead of having a basement, it was sitting on big logs stuck into the sand!

2     When I looked out the window, I saw many colorful boats. My father told me that they were lobster boats that belonged to special fishermen called lobstermen. There were colorful things floating on the water. They looked like big painted hot dogs on sticks. My mother said, "Those are buoys. The lobster traps are in the water on the other end of a rope." She pointed to lobster traps on the sand. They looked like cages made of wood.
