Paterson

1     The first industrial city in America was located in New Jersey. The name of the city is Paterson.
 
2     An industrial city is a town where there are a lot of factories. A factory is a place that manufactures or makes things that people need, like clothes and cloth to make clothes.
 
3     In 1791, Alexander Hamilton visited Paterson, New Jersey, where he saw a great waterfall. This waterfall was by the Passaic River and was 77 feet high. This great waterfall was named the Great Falls of Paterson.
