Fiji - Geography

1     Think about a box of crayons. Think about a big box of crayons. From one side of the box to the other are lots and lots of colors. Red, pink, blue, green, purple and orange--all can be found in a box of crayons. Do you have a favorite color? Maybe you have several favorite colors. Now imagine--if you can--a place in the world where you can find every color you can imagine. That place is a group of islands called Fiji.
 
2     Fiji is a group of more than 300 islands in the South Pacific Ocean. They were created by volcanoes a very long time ago. Fiji's weather is almost always comfortable. It is almost never too hot or too cold in Fiji. That's one of the reasons why people from all over the world love to take vacations there. Another reason is all the color in Fiji. But the color isn't very easy to find. In fact, you'd get very wet finding the prettiest colors in Fiji. That's because they are underwater!
 
3     Beautiful underwater plants called coral can be found all around Fiji. Coral are like underwater flowers. They can be found in almost any color you can imagine! And sometimes coral is colored like nothing you've seen before! In fact, a famous diver called Fiji's coral "a touch of heaven."
