2.   Once upon a time in a kingdom under the sea, a tiny mermaid decided to make a shell necklace to give to her mother on Mother's Day. She looked all day and found one hundred shells. She threw away seven shells because they were ugly. Then she threw away 13% of the remainder because they were broken. How many shells did she have left to make the necklace for her mother?

5.   Brittany's favorite dessert is lemon meringue pie. Lemon meringue pie contains three hundred seventy-seven calories per slice. Brittany wanted to make the pie a bit lighter and healthier. She found out she could cut the calories by twenty-five percent if she used 2% reduced fat milk instead of whole milk. If she makes the lemon meringue pie with 2% reduced fat milk, how many calories will be in each slice of her pie?


6.   Ms. Taylor is the librarian at Mountain Springs Library. She has chosen one hundred seventy-two new books for the library. If the average cost per book is $10.65, approximately how much will the new books cost?
