Bears in Disguise
By Brenda B. Covert

1
Inside the land of Tedder there lived a lot of bears.
They liked to see the circus and loved to go to fairs.

2
They lived outside a city, Nobearville was its name.
The townsfolk didn't know that the bears outside were tame.

3
They said, "Bears are ferocious! We'd better lock the gate!"
The bears were so unhappy, they cried till it was late.

4
Then one bright bear called Harry called a meeting with his friends.
He said, "Let's solve this problem so the fear and hatred ends."

5
"If we dress up like people, perhaps they'll let us in.
I don't think we will frighten them if we wear hats like men.
