Four by Four for Trucks
By Brenda B. Covert

1     Mr. Ray has a fleet of trucks. He has ten of them. One is yellow, two are red, three are white, and four are blue. Mr. Ray and his men use them for work.

2     Mr. Ray's truck has old tires. He needs new tires. All of his trucks need new tires! How many tires will he need to get?

3     Dave pulls into the lot. He drives one of the red trucks. One of its tires had gone flat. He hops out of the truck. He kicks the flat tire. "Boss!" he yells. "I need a new tire!"

4     "We need new tires for all of the trucks," Mr. Ray says. "Let's see how many tires that will be."
