Wendy's World- Migration
By Jane Runyon

"Welcome home," yelled Wendy. She had been watching for her friends Tim and Tess. They were returning home from vacation. They had been to visit some of their relatives in California.
"Hi, Wendy," replied Tess. "It's good to be home."
"Boy, do we have some stories to tell you," added Tim. "We'll be right over."
The children carried their bags to their rooms. Then they went to Wendy's house. "Did you have a good time?" asked Wendy.
"We sure did," answered Tess. "We met relatives we never knew we had."
"My favorite was Great Aunt Maddie," said Tim. "She told us about our great grandparents. She knows our whole family history."
"That must be fun," said Wendy. "What did you learn that you didn't already know?"
"We learned about our great grandmother Sophie. She came to America with her parents from Italy. She was born in Florence," said Tess.
