The Horrid Three-Horned Face
By Kathleen W. Redman

The children followed Dr. Dinosaur down a long hall. He stopped at a corner.

"Children," he said, "get ready to see Triceratops horridus."

     "What's a , a, a, - one of those things?" Jaime asked.

"A Triceratops (Try SER uh tops) is a dinosaur," Dr. Dinosaur said. "A horrid dinosaur."

"What does horrid mean?" Terry asked.

"It means very, very bad," Dr. Dinosaur said.

"Was it a very, very bad dinosaur?" Laine wanted to know.

"No," Dr. Dinosaur laughed. "It is called horrid because it had three horns on its face!"

"I bet it was ugly," Merry said.

"See for yourself," Dr. Dinosaur told them.

Dr. Dinosaur went around the corner. The children followed him. A huge dinosaur skeleton was right in the middle of the room!
