Plants Worksheets

Plants are autotrophs that never need to eat because they can make their own food; they are called producers. A green chemical in plant leaves, called chlorophyll, uses energy from sunlight and chemicals from the air and water to make sugar. There are more than 300,000 kinds of plants on Earth. This unit helps students understand the way plants reproduce, including pollination, fertilization, and germination. Different parts of plants and their functions are discussed, as well as the process of photosynthesis and what plants need to live.
