These Old Planets
By Cindy Grigg

1     Sing to the tune of "This Old Man."

2     Our planets
Now are eight.
Name them in order and you'll be great!
With a knick-knack, paddy-whack,
Floating in space,
Around the sun the planets race.

3     Mercury
Is number one,
It's small and fast and close to the sun.
With a knick-knack, paddy-whack,
Floating in space,
Mercury is in first place.

4     Venus
Is number two.
It's about as big as Earth but has no moon.
With a knick-knack, paddy-whack,
Floating in space,
Venus is in second place.
