It was Mark's birthday. He was sitting in his room looking at a tank. He saw his pet turtle. He thought it looked lonely. He hoped his mom and dad got him another one for his birthday.
Mark went into the dining room. Mom and Dad were there. Grandma and Grandpa were, too. Some of his aunts, uncles, and cousins came as well.
Mark opened some gifts. He got great cars. He got some books. He got the new DVD he wanted. There was no turtle, though.
It was time for cake. When the candles were lit, Mark thought of something. He could wish to be a turtle so his pet would have a friend. Mark closed his eyes. He made the wish. He blew out the candles.
Then time seemed to stop. Mark felt like he was spinning. When he opened his eyes, he wasn't sure where he was. He wasn't even sure what
