Los centavos de Penny

1     Se le regaló a Penny un banquito cerdito cuando cumplió los cinco años. Cada semana, recibía una subvención. Recibía diez centavos por cada quehacer que hacía. Hacía su cama. Recogía sus juguetes. Ayudaba a sus padres en la casa. Marcaba una tabla todos los días. Esto mostraba lo que ella había hecho.
 
2     El sábado, su madre sumía las marcas. Después, le pagaba a Penny de su jarra grande de centavos. Al principio, Penny pensaba que los centavos no valían mucho. Mamá tenía muchos. No parecía mucho dinero. Mamá decía que los estaba ahorrando para un viaje. Irían a Disneylandia.
 
3     Penny decidió que iba a ahorrar sus centavos también. Por varios meses, Penny ponía sus centavos en su banquito. Su mamá seguía ahorrando centavos también.
 
4     Por fin, fue una semana antes del viaje. Mamá dijo, -¡Que vayamos al banco!- Fueron al banco y entregaron sus centavos.
