Vorrei essere un orso polare
By Mary L. Bushong
Translation by Rosita D'Aiello

1     Tom guardò fuori dalla finestra. La neve stava cadendo copiosa.

2     "Potrei andare fuori a giocare, Dave?" chiese a suo fratello maggiore.

3     Dave scosse la testa. "No, sta nevicando troppo forte. Fa troppo freddo. Solo un orso polare potrebbe andare fuori a giocare oggi".

4     "Desidererei essere un orso polare," disse Tom. "Avrei un mantello bianco e folto. Potrei giocare nella neve tutto il giorno. Non avrei mai freddo!"

5     "Cosa faresti all'ora di pranzo?" chiese Dave.

6     "Tornerei dentro per una zuppa," disse Tom.

7     Dave rise e scosse la testa. "Gli orsi polari non mangiano la zuppa. Gli orsi polari cacciano il loro cibo. Amano mangiare le foche soprattutto".

8     Tom fece una smorfia. "Puah," disse. "In che modo acchiappano le foche?"
