1 What is balance? Balance is important to you. Balance helps you walk. Balance helps you ride a bicycle. Balance even helps you see and write.
2 Balance is being level. Balance is not leaning one way or the other. Balance is right in the middle. Imagine if you had no balance! Imagine if you always leaned! It would be hard to walk. It would be hard to write or draw. It would be hard to play outside! Wouldn't that be bad?
3 Where does balance come from? Balance comes from your ears! Isn't that strange? There are many small parts in your ears. One part controls balance. There is a big word for it. It is the vestibular system.
