An Underground Festival
By Kathleen W. Redman
1 Today is going to be a very special day. The moles of Oak Lane are having a festival.
2 The moles had been digging for a week. They dug a big burrow. It was almost two feet underground. It was thirty feet long and twenty feet wide! It had to be very big. Many moles would be at the festival.
3 Two moles blew up tiny balloons. Some other moles made flags. They put the balloons and flags all over the burrow.
4 One mole put up lights. The lights were red, green, yellow, and blue. They made the burrow very bright.
5 There were rides at the end of the burrow.
