Sand Castle Fun!
By Colleen Messina

1     Even if you are just a kid, you can have your own castle! It won't be made from stone. It won't be big enough to live in, but it will be fun to build. You can make a sand castle.

2     Going to the beach is a great thing to do on a hot day. The sun is bright. The sand is warm. The water is cool. Everything you need is there to build a sand castle. You can plan ahead and draw a picture before you start. You will know just what kind of castle you want to make. There are even books and videos to help teach you how to build the perfect sandcastle.

3     Some tools make building a castle easier. Buckets and shovels help a lot! You can also use plastic spoons, knives, or forks. Some people use fancy tools to help them build sand castles. They make fancy castles. They work hard.
