Reading Comprehension for November 22
Ben and Kim walked along a trail in the woods. It was a windy day. Most of the leaves were off the trees. Ben and Kim kicked them as they walked.
"This is fun," said Kim.
Ben kicked up some leaves. He laughed. "Yes, it is."
"Thursday is Thanksgiving," said Kim. "Mom wants us to say why we are thankful."
Ben grinned. "I bet you already made your list."
Kim frowned at her brother. "Well, yeah!"
"I knew it. You always get things done first."
"Do you want to know what's on my list?"
"You're going to tell me anyway. So go ahead."
The children stopped walking.
"If you're going to be like that, forget it," said Kim crossly. "And I'm going to take you off my list." Kim pulled a piece of paper out of her coat pocket.
"I'm on your list?" said Ben surprised.
"You're first," said Kim.
