Kitty Mystery

Beth walked through the house. She looked at the sofa. She looked in the kitchen. She looked at the beds. She could not find her cat. She could not find Pepper.

Pepper was Beth's cat. She was a tabby cat. Her coat was the color of pepper.

Beth tried calling Pepper. Pepper did not come. Where was Pepper?

Beth went to find her mom. "Mom," said Beth, "I cannot find Pepper. Have you seen her today?"

Mom thought for a moment. "No," she said. "I fed her yesterday. I have not seen her today."

"I have looked all over the house," said Beth. "I have not found her."

"Maybe she is outside," said Mom. "Go and look in the garage."

Beth looked under the car. She looked behind the garden tools. She still could not find Pepper. Where could her cat be?
