The Season of Autumn

Fall is one of the four seasons. Autumn is another name for this season. Autumn comes after summer. Autumn begins in the month of September. Then winter begins in December.


The days are shorter than they were in the summer. The sun sets earlier. Days are warm. Nights are cool.


In fall, leaves on many trees change color. Leaves turn yellow, orange, red, and brown. Late in the fall, leaves all turn brown. Then they fall off the trees. Some people rake leaves into piles. These piles are fun to jump in!
