The learning center titled "Exploring Greater Than, Less Than, and Equal to Using Symbols, Numbers, and More" contains multiple ways for students to practice comparing and contrasting two-, three-, and four-digit numbers. This activity aims to help students build number sense and strategies for comparing multi-digit numbers.

Activities include:

* Using greater than, less than, and equal to symbol cards to fill in the blank between two numbers.

* Using Y and N markers to agree or disagree with number statements that show whether a number is greater than, less than, or equal to another number.

* Place a number chip in the dashed circle to make each greater than, less than, or equal to statement true.

Each page comes with its own set of instructions that include hints. For example, one page tells students they will have no extra chips when they're done, while another tells students they will have some left over.

The center itself comes with its own set of instructions to help students get started. It tells students to have a teacher or a designated student double-check their work, which enables teachers to make sure the correct answers are reinforced, as well as determine which students need extra support. An additional page is provided for teachers that shows how to set up the folder.
