Counting by ones is the first step in helping students develop number sense and learn number patterns. As they begin to understand number order and place value, they should be able to fill in missing numbers in a series. That's what this learning center is all about!
Students take a set of cards and a student page. They pull a card from the pile and determine what number goes in the highlighted box. Then they write the number on the student page next to the number of the card.
Numbers range from 11 to 98 and are arranged in grids of different sizes. In some cases, there is only one missing number. In other grids, there are multiple missing numbers, but there's only one highlighted box to provide an additional challenge.
Teacher directions show you where to affix the student directions and cover page to an envelope. It also shows you where to place the materials that go inside the folder.
