Being able to discern the difference between fact and opinion is an important skill that helps students become critical thinkers. This learning center gives them practice reading sentences and being able to tell if they are fact or opinion.

Different sentences are listed on cards. Students pick one card at a time and read it, deciding if it's a fact or an opinion. They write "fact" or "opinion" on the student page next to the corresponding card number. They label all ten sentences before they are done.

The learning center includes directions for students, directions for teachers on how to set up the folder, ten sentence cards, and blank student pages. The materials also include an answer key so you can correct student work.
