Learning about plants fosters curiosity about the natural world, and it invites students to observe details, which is an important skill when engaging in the scientific process. This learning center supports these skills with different worksheets and activities that include:

* Place Care Check Cards next to items plants need, like water but not toothbrushes.

* Place a Size Square next to plant pictures, like "small" next to parsley.

* Place Plant Triangles to name each description, like placing "prune" next to a description about trimming and cutting.

* Place a Plant Type card over descriptions of plants, like placing "tree" on a description that includes "big in size" and "woody trunk."

* And more!

Directions are included for students that instruct them to do all the pages, access materials in the "Cards and More" envelope, and have a teacher or another student check their work. A teacher directions page includes all the steps teachers need to complete in order to set up the center, including which pages to print out, what to put in the "Cards and More" folder, and how to assemble the learning center folder with visual examples.
