"Measurement, Maps, and Fractions in Goatsburg" is a fun multi-activity learning center that helps students learn how to follow directions and use a ruler, in addition to giving them practice rounding and adding fractions in a real-world application.

The center features a map of Goatsburg that is made of two pages. There are three activity options:

* On worksheet 1, students place all the letter cards face down and choose the top card. Then, they use a ruler to follow the directions and move their goat from the start position to the final destination. They write where they ended up, whether it was the simplest path, and how many miles the goat traveled.

* On worksheet 2, students place all the destination cards face down. They choose the top card and move their goat from the start position to the location on the card. They go one move at a time and record the street name, direction, and distance traveled for each move. They also have to add up the total distance the goat travels.

* Worksheet 3 is meant for 1-3 players. Players choose three destination cards each and a goat token. Then, they take turns rolling a die to move the goat to each destination. Each dot on the die equals 1 inch. The first player to reach all three destinations wins.

The learning center includes all the materials students need to complete the center, including a cover image for the folder and needed items, like a dry-erase marker, die, and ruler.
