Welcome aboard! We've got a busy day ahead! As the co-pilot, you're in charge of the coordinates. See the first one? That's an example. We need the others recorded just like that.

Mastering coordinates has many benefits! It helps you develop spatial awareness and prepares you for other exciting math topics like graphing, geometry, and algebra. In this activity, as the newest Banana Air co-pilot, you'll capture the coordinates of various locations. A coordinate is written like this: (-8, 6). The first number is the position along the x-axis, which runs from left to right through 0. The second number is the position along the y-axis, which runs up and down through 0. So, (-8, 6) means 8 units to the left of 0 on the x-axis and 6 units up from 0 on the y-axis. Now it's your turn. Record the coordinates for today's flight plan!
