"Monster Bingo With 2-Digit Division" is a learning center that can be completed individually or played with a partner. Students grab a "Five in a Row Mat" that features 25 hungry monsters in a grid, each of which is associated with a number. They pile up 28 burger squares that feature a 2-digit division problem and place them face down. Then, they flip over one card at a time, solve the problem, and match the hamburger division problem with the monster that has the correct answer. When playing individually, students keep pulling burger cards and finding the answers until they get five in a row. If playing with a partner, they take turns until the first player gets five in a row and wins.
This learning center focuses on dividing 2-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers so students can practice their division facts. Without an accompanying worksheet or scratch paper, students are encouraged to use mental math and practice memorizing their facts to find the answers quickly.
