Verbs are action words, and they are super busy! First, they tell what someone or something did, is doing, or will do. Their forms can change depending on whether they are regular or irregular. Verbs can also link a subject to more information or help another verb. If you put "to" before a verb, you get its infinitive, or basic form. Sometimes verbs change their role and stop acting like verbs. They can become participles or gerunds. And remember, verbs must always agree with the subject. Singular or plural, they need to match.
